1. What personal data we collect
We collect your name, job role, company, phone number, company postal details and email address so that we can contact you in the future to find out whether you found the SCA-Emp toolkit to be useful. We also ask you to state which sector your company is in, the number of employees, the location of your headquarters and plants, as well as your aim of using the SCA-Emp toolkit in order to find out in which sectors the toolkit might be used, where, and why it is being used.
2. How long we hold your personal data for
We keep your data for 10 years, so that we can reply to you easily if you require more information about how to use the SCA-Emp toolkit. You may submit a request for this data to be removed or corrected at any time by writing to us using the address below.
3. Who has access to this personal data
All personal information is stored in a password-protected database that is only accessible to members of the SCA-Emp team. We do not sell, trade, or transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information, unless you specifically consent to us doing this. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.
4. What happens when you visit this website
When someone visits www.sca-emp.com we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will explain why and what we intend to do with it.

5. Access to Your personal information
The SCA-Emp team at Sheffield University Management School tries to be as open as it can be in terms of giving people access to their personal information. Individuals can find out if we hold any personal information by making a ‘subject access request’. If we do hold information about you we will:
- give you a description of it;
- tell you why we are holding it;
- tell you who it could be disclosed to; and
- let you have a copy of the information in an intelligible form.
To make a request to the SCA-Emp team for any personal information we may hold you need to put the request in writing to the address provided below. If we do hold information about you, you can ask us to correct any mistakes by writing to the address provided below.

We keep our privacy notice under regular review. This privacy notice was last updated on 12 April, 2018.
The University of Sheffield will act as the Data Controller for the SCA-Emp project. This means that the University is responsible for looking after your information and using it properly. In order to collect and use your personal information as part of this research project, we must have a basis in law to do so. The basis that we are using is that our research is ‘a task in the public interest’.
